We are two people, a husband and wife, who enjoy spending time on our small farm. We decided to make backyard beekeeping more of a business and less of a hobby, although we hope to keep the enjoyment of just working with nature. We are two people, a husband and wife, who enjoy spending time on our small farm. We decided to make backyard beekeeping more of a business and less of a hobby, although we hope to keep the enjoyment of just working with nature. After all… bees are a big part of our natural world, and most people don’t think much about it.
Farming for us began with just 10 Angus heifers in 2010 that columnated to a heard of 30 cows and heifers, 20 fall calves, 7 steers, and 2 bulls; all of which amounted to a part time farm sustained by working in a family business wholesale manufacturing signs. We sold the cattle herd in 2016 and we traded farming cattle for farming bees.
We look forward to learning more, growing in what we do, and enjoying the journey that beekeeping brings.

Did you know that 70% of the worlds food relies on pollination for producing? Have you also heard that bee numbers are in decline? Finally, did you know that you are empowered to do something about that?
These are just a few of the reasons why we have decided to enter the world of commercial beekeeping. We enjoy working outside. We enjoy working together. We love to eat honey, and the other byproducts of the bee hive are great for you as well.
We want to make some positive difference in our world and enable others to do so as well through the products we offer and the information we can share.
The future of the bee is in question. There have been many people working hard from research to boots on the ground in learning and trying to understand what the challenges are for the honey bee. The future of the bee is in question. There have been many people working hard from research to boots on the ground in learning and trying to understand what the challenges are for the honey bee. The challenges are only going to be met with people working in the hive, learning, and sharing information with other beekeepers. Research in raising a better honey bee and developing good and healthy colonies we believe is the key to success. Backyard beekeepers, we realize, will be the force behind rebounding the honey bee populations. Educating our communities is key to this success so that more people will be willing and able to join the backyard beekeeping hobby. We hope you join us in this rewarding adventure in beekeeping. Remember, a bee sting is only temporary… the honey can be permanent if we work together.
